...and what did we learn.
-there's a fine line between being spontaneous and torturing your 17 month old.
- rest stops are lovely, but they never have changing tables or hooks for purses
- in n out does not have changing tables...McDonald's always does
- wine boxes work great for road trips for packing up breakable items acquired along the way.
- we aren't big "gotta get there" people. If someone has to go potty, we go. If someone needs to wiggle, we find a place to run. For that reason, if a trip looked like it would take 5 hrs, we would account for 7.
-we're not huge spenders, but we're not budget travelers, either. Any chance we get to have a larger room, or even a suite, we go for it. having our kids, and us! well-rested is worth it to us to have to pay a bit more for our room.
